About Gesture Synth Weld

Gesture Synth Weld is an open-source, browser-based hand gesture synth. Your left hand controls harmony (key / scale degree / major-minor), your right hand controls expression (chord style / volume / tone / octave). No downloads, no plugins, no accounts — just your webcam (or keyboard mode) and your hands.

MIT licensed. Source, issues and contributions: github.com/rainbow686/gesture-synth-weld. We welcome PRs — see the repo for contribution notes. Funding is optional and transparent: only non-intrusive ads below the fold, if any, to cover hosting; no paywall on playing or recording.

Tech

Vite + React + TypeScript, Tone.js (Web Audio) for synthesis, MediaPipe Tasks Vision (HandLandmarker) for hand tracking. Web app on Vercel; hand model on Cloudflare. All processing is local — camera feed never leaves your device.
